The multi-award-winning Water Witch is situated on the picturesque Lancaster canal, a five-minute stroll away from the hustle and bustle of the historic city centre.

​Whether you're visiting to sample our superb array of drinks, dine in our restaurant or combining a little of both - you're always guaranteed a warm welcome at The Water Witch.

​The Water Witch was originally converted from purpose-built stables in 1978 and offers a large range of high-quality dishes ranging from Great British classics to continental cuisine.

​Chris, our Head Chef sources all of our products wherever possible from local British suppliers, enabling us to reduce our food miles and serve you the very best of what’s in season.

​We are a small independent team who have grown our business from the bottom up, by looking after our loyal customer base and providing them with fantastic food and drink. We use local products where ever we can. Over 70% of our ales all come from breweries less than 50 miles away.

​We are extremely proud to have teamed up with Virgin Wines to offer over 20 wines by the glass and a further 26 on our wine list.

​We are dog-friendly in the pub, water, treats and cuddles always available!
