The Crown Abbey Foregate

The Crown Abbey Foregate is now a well-established thriving community local pub, serving classic pub food and drinks all day. vThis dog friendly welcoming “Cask Marqued” local offers numerous quality real ales, locally sourced wines and serves premium draught lagers and ciders.

The pub is made up of two separate rooms, the first is the “Tap Room Bar” which includes five TV screens to catch all the sporting action from Sky and TNT sports. The second is the “Lounge Room” offering quality pub food and drinks in a cosy warm lit atmosphere seven days a week. At a weekend after food service the lounge is often host to live music from local artists.

The “Tap Room Bar” has the added bonus of being able to be made private if needed which makes it ideal to accommodate functions such as, Birthdays, Christenings or Wakes.

We have a hidden beer garden which has powerful heaters and is 50% covered, so it is useable all year and during all weathers.

This grade 2 listed building overlooks the historic Shrewsbury Abbey and is just a stones throw from the convenient Abbey Foregate Car Park.
