Amberley Museum is a large hands-on heritage museum near Chichester, set across open-air grounds with historic trains, vintage buses, exhibition buildings and seasonal events. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome on the museum site, making it a proper full-day destination where your dog can join the adventure through living industrial history. The site includes multiple exhibition areas, working demonstrations and transport rides that bring Sussex heritage to life.

While detailed indoor access rules aren't published in full, the museum's broad site welcome means you can explore the outdoor spaces, event areas and much of the attraction together. Free on-site parking is available for museum visitors, right opposite Amberley station.

Amberley Museum opens Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 16:30, with bank holidays included and runs its main season from mid-February to early November.
