Bardney Manor Walled Gardens is a restored historic walled garden east of Lincoln, offering a quietly impressive slice of heritage horticulture on seasonal open days. The gardens combine traditional planting with guided tours and plant sales, making it a proper visitor attraction rather than a quick park-and-stroll.

Dogs are welcome on lead throughout the outdoor garden grounds during the 2026 open days, which run on selected Saturdays and a handful of Sundays from mid-June through August. It's a calm, curated setting for a lead walk with purpose, especially if you're after something more structured than a woodland ramble.

The open-day format means you'll need to plan ahead—this isn't a drop-in-anytime destination—but the gardens reward the diary work with a genuinely different day out. Parking is available and the lead-only rule keeps things relaxed for everyone navigating the paths and borders.
