Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Bignor Roman Villa is a seasonal heritage attraction near Chichester, open April to October with its remarkable Roman mosaics and visitor tearoom. Dogs on leads are welcome in the car park and picnic areas, making it a useful stopover for those combining a walk in the South Downs with a dose of ancient history.
The villa itself and the scheduled ancient monument are off-limits to ordinary pet dogs, so this is very much a grounds-only visit. That said, the picnic areas give you somewhere to settle with a flask while your dog supervises the sandwiches and the on-site grass parking means no pavement shuffle with shopping or a tired spaniel.
Open Wednesday to Sunday 10:00–16:30 during the season and daily throughout August. It's a practical pit-stop if you're touring West Sussex with a history-loving human and a dog who's happy to wait outside while the mosaics get their moment.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available
Doggy menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs on leads are welcome in the car park and picnic areas only; not inside the villa or on the scheduled ancient monument. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout.
