That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Cafe in the Park by Squid & Tonic is a lovely Ripon stop for dog owners who want a relaxed outdoor-ish café break with extra park-side breathing room. Based in Spa Gardens, it is run by Carol and Paul of Squid & Tonic and brings their street-food energy into a calmer café setting, and dogs are welcome inside. That makes it a great fit for visitors who want a coffee, bite to eat or treat after a town wander, especially if the dog would appreciate a less enclosed sort of pause.

It has that nice "pause in the middle of the day" feel rather than full mission-stop intensity, which works well when you're balancing Ripon plans with paws that need a breather.

For visitors with dogs, it adds a scenic, easy-going break to Ripon plans and works especially well when sunshine, grass and a slower pace are all part of the brief.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle. Keep them close, clean up after them, and let them enjoy the park-side outing without auditioning for head squirrel patrol.
