Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Cardinham Woods is a Forestry England woodland destination near Bodmin, making it an easy outdoor day trip from Looe. Dogs are welcome on all the forest trails, with the expectation that you keep them close by and in sight at all times. The site includes waymarked walking routes, activity trails and a dog wash to help you leave with a cleaner passenger.
The woods are open daily from 6am to 9pm, with an on-site visitor car park that uses cashless payment only—RingGo, card or contactless accepted. Accessible parking bays are available. Dog waste bins are provided along the trails and the ranger facilities and cafe operate separately with their own schedules.
This is proper managed woodland rather than a quick leg-stretch, so it suits a half-day visit or longer if you want to tackle multiple trails. The combination of decent facilities, clear dog guidance and practical extras like the dog wash makes it a solid choice when you're planning a proper outing with muddy paws in mind.
