Catton Park is a historic 70-acre country park in Norwich, offering dog walkers a generous mix of meadow, woodland and sculpture trail. The park is open 24 hours daily, making it a handy choice for early morning sniff expeditions or late-evening leg stretches when daylight allows. Dogs are welcome throughout the park grounds and may be off lead if they're under close control and within sight.
The official dog policy is clear: dogs are not allowed in the picnic area or inside Buxton Lodge, so plan your route accordingly. Lead and bag logistics are straightforward and the footpaths across the park give plenty of scope for longer loops or shorter woodland wanders.
The wood sculptures and sculpture trail add a little interest beyond the usual park circuit and the mix of open meadow and tree cover works well across seasons. Free to visit, with donations supporting the trust that cares for the site.
