Christmas on The Lakes is delightfully committed to its bit: an all-year-round Christmas shop in Bowness with an old-world festive theme running right through it, and dogs are welcome inside. Public descriptions lean into a Dickensian-style atmosphere with named sections like Scrooge and Marley's and Tiny Tim's Trinkets, which makes it sound less like a standard gift shop and more like a full festive wander in miniature.

The shop is open daily, making it a useful wet-weather stop or a cheerful browse when the Lakes weather turns. Expect baubles, decorations, novelty gifts and the sort of festive detail that works any month of the year.

Great for a cheerful browse with your dog, novelty-factor points, and the sort of stop that makes even hardened Christmas cynics soften slightly around the edges while their dog investigates tinsel at lead height.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside while you browse festive decorations and gifts, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle. Please keep dogs on leads and away from delicate displays.
