Corfe Castle is one of those dramatic days out that makes even a regular walk feel slightly more heroic. The ruined castle sits high above the village and offers plenty to explore, from wandering through the ruins to following trails and spotting wildlife in the surrounding hills. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome all year, which is excellent news for households where sightseeing usually comes with four legs attached. There is also a tea-room, shop, and picnic area on site, so it works well as more than just a quick look around. Big views, old stones, and a strong chance of the dog acting like they personally own the battlements.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome on leads around the site. It is a proper exploring sort of place, so sensible shoes, lead control, and zero castle-conquering side quests are advised.
