Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:
4 Aug 2026
Cotehele Mill is a working Victorian watermill with historic workshops and estate surroundings in St Dominick, about 13 miles from Looe. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor visitor areas and estate paths around the mill, making it a proper heritage day out where your dog can join you for the setting and scenery.
The mill building and bakery are assistance-dogs-only indoors, so this is one for dog owners happy to enjoy the wider Cotehele Mill estate spaces while the indoor demonstrations stay off limits. The site opens seasonally with date-specific hours published on the National Trust page.
There's no parking at the mill itself; use the National Trust car park at Cotehele Quay, about a 15-minute walk away. A shuttle bus runs on most days depending on volunteer availability, so it's worth checking ahead if the walk doesn't suit.
