Daleside Nurseries is a substantial family-run garden centre just outside Ripon, stocked with houseplants, perennials, shrubs and seasonal bedding across a broad retail floor. That clear dog access keeps the browse part of the same outing rather than ending in another doorway handover.
Dogs are welcome inside the nursery, making it easy to browse without leaving anyone behind in the car. The on-site café, Paradise at Daleside, is clearly dog-friendly and a popular stop for lunch or coffee after a morning spent choosing plants. It's the kind of place where you can settle in with a pot of tea while your dog watches the comings and goings from under the table.
Daleside sits on the A61 between Killinghall and Ripon, useful as a mid-route stop if you're doing the Harrogate-to-Ripon circuit or simply need compost, a flat of violas and a bacon sandwich without splitting up the group.
