Greensmith Coffee is a friendly independent café in Scarborough built for proper coffee stops rather than rushed takeaway cups, and dogs are welcome inside. Expect good coffee, simple food and the sort of relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to sit for a while and watch the day unfold.

Locals drift in for their regular brew, visitors stumble upon it mid-wander, and dogs quickly realise this is a place where table naps are perfectly acceptable. The coffee keeps arriving until someone remembers they were supposed to be sightseeing, and the conversation flows easily whether you're planning the rest of the day or just enjoying a break from it.

It's the kind of café where nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle, and floor-level loafing is entirely acceptable. A relaxed stop for proper brews, cake decisions and table-side dog naps.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside for coffee stops, catch-ups and a floor-level café nap. Bonus points for excellent loaf form and resisting the urge to audit every crumb.
