grow urban is a plant shop and coffee spot tucked into Edinburgh's New Town, stocking a focused range of indoor plants, pots, gardening tools and small gifts. Dogs are welcome inside the shop, so you can browse with your dog at your side rather than tied to a post outside. It's a destination for visitors already exploring the city centre, not a day trip in itself, but exactly the kind of place that breaks up a day in town.

The staff know their plants and it shows in the layout and stock. You'll find practical gardening supplies alongside the greenery, plus coffee to fuel the browsing. Well-behaved dogs are treated with the same friendliness as the plants are tended, which makes a difference when you're trying to sniff around and make decisions without your dog getting restless outside.

Parking is paid on weekdays and free on surrounding streets at weekends. Opening hours and exact address are on the official site.
