Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Harewood House is a grand country-house estate about seven miles from Harrogate, with sweeping gardens, landscaped grounds and a proper historic house to explore. It's a substantial day out with cafés, seasonal programming and ample free on-site parking and dogs are welcomed in designated outdoor areas across the site.
Your dog must stay on lead throughout, but there's plenty of scope for a half-day or full-day visit with gardens and grounds open 10am–6pm in the main season from 20 March. Dogs may go into the Courtyard Café servery to order and dog-friendly outdoor seating is available.
The House itself, indoor Terrace Café areas, Woodland Wonderland and Adventure Playground are off-limits to ordinary pet dogs, so this is primarily an outdoor visit. But for estates with enough space and interest to make a lead walk feel like an occasion, Harewood delivers—and the free parking means you won't be wrestling tickets and the lead at the same time.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Free treats available

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcomed in designated outdoor areas across the estate and must stay on lead at all times. They may enter the Courtyard Café servery to order, but are not allowed in the House, indoor Terrace Café areas, Woodland Wonderland or Adventure Playground.
