A proper country-inn sort of stop, tucked between Scarborough and Whitby with woodland, coast and good walking country all around it. Hayburn Wyke Inn is an 18th-century coaching inn with a traditional pub feel, Yorkshire ales, hearty food and a bar area that welcomes well-behaved dogs. It is the kind of place that suits muddy boots, post-walk appetites and a dog who thinks every firelit pub was built entirely for them. Very strong “one quick drink” turning into lunch energy.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside in the bar area, which is exactly what muddy paws and post-walk appetites want to hear. Arrive windswept, settle by a table, and let the pub do the rest.
