Heatherdene Happy Hounds in Tansley, just three miles from Matlock town centre, runs a secure dog field for private hire alongside its boutique boarding service.
The field is fully fenced and booked by the slot, giving you 50 minutes of exclusive off-lead exercise with no interruptions, no shared gates and no surprise greetings from neighbouring recall rebels. Bookings are strictly by advance arrangement and can be made online, with payment accepted by card, Bacs or cash. Water is available on site and there's room for one car inside the field; a second vehicle can be accommodated outside by prior arrangement if you're carpooling or juggling the logistics of a multi-dog household.
It's the sort of setup that makes life easier when you need guaranteed space for recall training, a reactive dog who deserves a proper run, or simply a reliable patch of freedom close to home without the faff of driving miles into the Peaks.
