Holm Coffee is a little slice of Nordic-leaning calm in the middle of Lancaster, perfect for when you want your caffeine with a side of hygge. It's the sort of place that encourages slow sips, cosy chats, and the occasional "should we just stay here?" glance across the table. Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else queues.

You'll find good coffee, comforting bakes, and food that feels light but properly satisfying, which is exactly what you want after a brisk walk and a dog who's now recharging like a phone on low battery. There's also a small-market feel to it, so you can browse treats, gifts and bits of homeware while your dog practises their best "I am invisible" shop manners.

The overall mood is friendly and unhurried, making it a great stop for a mid-morning reset or an afternoon pick-me-up when the weather's doing its usual British flip-flop.
