That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

It's open all year round, weather permitting, making it a useful paws-included stop for both sunny wanders and days when the weather turns theatrical. The closest parking is Lake Road and Lakeside Car Park directly opposite, with other Keswick car parks also nearby. It's a short stroll from town and about five minutes' walk to the lake, so it fits easily into a Keswick day without over-planning.

Dogs need to be on leads and well behaved, which is sensible for a busy family destination. Knowing dogs can come into the cafe means less doorway dithering over who waits outside while someone grabs a drink.

The park itself offers plenty of nose-level interest along the nature trail and the bird hide adds a quieter interlude for anyone hoping to slow the pace. It's the sort of place that keeps both dogs and humans occupied without needing perfect weather.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in all areas of the park, including the games and Cafe Hope, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle.
