That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The King's Arms is a proper village pub in Shouldham, a few miles south of King's Lynn, where dogs are welcome inside throughout the bar and dining areas. Water bowls are set out and there's usually a biscuit on offer if you ask at the bar.

The kitchen serves lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, with Sunday roasts until 4pm. It's the sort of place where you can settle in for a meal without leaving anyone outside and the lead-requested rule keeps things calm when the tables are busy.

Shouldham sits just off the A134, making this a useful pause if you're exploring the quieter lanes around the western edge of the Fens or heading out towards Downham Market. Closed Mondays. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.
