Days Out Are For Dogs Too

You’ll spot our Recommended Partner badge on some listings (opposite the venue name)
That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Longcombe Cross Garden Centre is an independent garden centre on the A385, roughly midway between Paignton and Totnes, making it a handy stop for South Devon day trips. The centre stocks plants and gardening supplies with a café and soft play area on site, so there's more than just browsing to keep the whole family occupied.
Dogs are welcome to explore the grounds with you and the garden centre atmosphere tends to suit dogs—open space, things to sniff and no complicated etiquette to navigate. It's the sort of place where lead tangling is unlikely and a muddy paw or two won't turn heads.
Pop in for plants, a break and a spot of family time. Opening times and directions are on the official contact page and free parking means you can linger without clock-watching your car.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome to visit the grounds and explore the garden centre with you. Indoor retail dog welcome is not needed here, so check ahead if covered access matters for your trip.
