That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Ludo Lounge is a relaxed café bar on Southbourne Grove, just east of central Bournemouth, where dogs are welcome inside under the Lounge group's Canine Code. The Lounge serves food and drinks throughout the day with evening opening until 11pm, so it works well after a beach stroll or when the weather turns. Water bowls and free dog treats are confirmed as standard, which takes the guesswork out of arrival.

The Canine Code keeps things straightforward: dogs on a tight lead, paws on the floor rather than furniture or laps and considerate behaviour. Southbourne Beach is a short walk through Fisherman's Walk, with seasonal dog restrictions from May to September, though year-round dog-walking sections sit further east.

There is no on-site parking, but Woodside Road public car park is nearby with 85 spaces and RingGo payment. Ludo Lounge keeps everyone together when you need a cafe bar that does not ask one person to wait outside with the dog.
