Madley Plants is an independent plant nursery and garden centre on the western edge of Hereford, where dogs are welcome inside the shop as well as in the outdoor plant areas. The retail space is housed in a twin-walled log cabin with a broad stock range covering perennials, shrubs, seasonal bedding and container plants, so there's plenty to browse while your dog explores on a lead.

The nursery is open seven days a week from 10am until 4pm (9am-5pm on Saturdays), combining a real working plant yard with a proper retail shop. It's a useful stop for local gardeners who prefer a smaller, independent destination, and the team are happy to see dogs pottering about between the benches and browse tables. The nursery closes for seasonal breaks in summer and winter, so it's worth checking ahead if you're planning a visit during August or late December through January.

Madley sits just west of Hereford with good access and a sizeable car park, so you can pop in for compost, inspiration or a tray of something seasonal without the usual out-of-town garden-centre sprawl. It's the sort of place where lead logistics stay simple and no one minds a bit of mud.
