Mill Garden Centre is a family-run destination in Armadale, West Lothian, about 20 miles west of Edinburgh. Dogs on a short lead are welcome inside the garden centre and the on-site Garden Kitchen café, making it a dog-friendly spot for a deliberate trip out. The centre stocks plants, nursery stock and holds a gift shop alongside the café.

You'll find ample car parking, which is handy if you're coming from Edinburgh via the M8 corridor. The combination of browsing plants, catching a café break and keeping your dog with you makes for a straightforward dog-owner visit without the usual split logistics.

Whether you're after new stock for the garden or just want a spot where you and your dog can potter around together, Mill has the setup for both. The Garden Kitchen provides somewhere to sit with your lead-bearing companion while you take a breather.
