That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Tyntesfield is one of those places that feels almost unreal the first time you see it, a full-on Victorian Gothic house set within sweeping gardens and parkland just outside Bristol. Built in the 19th century and now cared for by the National Trust, it's packed with intricate detail, from grand interiors to historic collections, all sitting within a wider estate that invites you to slow down and explore.
Outside, the grounds open up into a mix of formal gardens, wide lawns and more natural parkland, with plenty of space to wander at your own pace. Dogs are welcome on lead in most outdoor areas, though the house itself and some garden zones are off-limits for paws.
It works as a full day out rather than a quick stop, the kind where you drift between house, gardens and paths, with dogs happily padding along beside you, taking in as much of it as you are.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome on short leads in most outdoor areas, though the house and some garden zones stay paw-free. Assistance dogs are welcome across the site, so nobody gets left doing the car-park shuffle.
