The Newcastle Packet in Scarborough is one of the town's oldest pubs, full of historic character, a warm welcome and the kind of traditional pub atmosphere that leans happily into live entertainment and weekend karaoke. Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle while the room fills with music and conversation.
With its older features and log burner, it feels like a classic seaside pub that has seen a lot and still knows how to keep things lively. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, with enough going on to make it a proper old-pub stop rather than a quiet corner.
Great for a dog-friendly drink where the dog can settle in by the fire while the humans get comfortable and forget what time it is. The kind of place that works for wet-weather refuge or a lively evening, with paws welcome throughout.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside for a proper old-pub stop full of character. A very good setting for a pub nap while the humans get comfortable and forget what time it is.
