Days Out Are For Dogs Too

The North Riding Hotel is one of those proper north-side spots that just gets the rhythm of a Scarborough day. Set close to North Bay Beach, Peasholm Park and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, it blends traditional pub-and-hotel character with its own brewing identity, making it an easy, natural landing point after sea air and long, meandering loops that were never meant to last that long.
Inside, it leans into that classic pub feel but with a bit more substance in the glass, especially for real ale fans who like something local to round off the day. And for dog owners, it quietly ticks all the right boxes without making a fuss about it. Water bowls are out, free treats are on hand, there’s a proper dog menu, and the dog blankets are the kind of touch that turn a quick stop into a “we’ll stay for another one” moment.
It’s a strong all-rounder. The sort of place where muddy paws, sandy noses and tired humans all feel equally well catered for 🐾
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside, making this a strong post-walk or post-beach pub choice. Muddy dignity encouraged, chaos less so.
