Old Generator Station is a friendly community bar in the heart of Aldeburgh where dogs are welcome inside. Housed in a converted industrial building, it's open evenings Monday and Wednesday and lunchtime through late Friday to Sunday, making it a handy spot for a drink after a windswept seafront walk or a coffee break between errands.
The bar serves drinks alongside food and hosts regular events, with a low-key, sociable atmosphere that suits muddy-pawed arrivals. Dogs are welcomed at the table and the central location means you can drop in without needing a car park on site.
Whether you're warming up after a stroll around Kings Field or looking for a spot that won't turn you away at the door, this is a useful, straightforward choice in town. Open till 11pm most nights and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, it's one of the few Aldeburgh venues where the whole crew can settle in once the light fades.
