Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Pavilion Gardens is a 23-acre landscaped park in the heart of Buxton, combining Victorian design with plenty of modern visitor facilities. The park features event spaces, a miniature railway, play areas and sweeping lawns, making it one of the town's most popular destinations for a proper wander with the dog. Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens but aren't allowed inside the building itself, so this is very much an outdoor affair.
The council provides dog waste bins and asks that you keep your dog under control, which is sensible given the mix of families, events and open spaces. There's a 270-space pay-and-display car park at St John's Road and Burlington Road, with disabled spaces available.
The gardens are open daily from 9:30am to 5pm, though some food and activity areas have their own hours and may vary depending on the weather. It's a brilliant central Buxton day out and slots easily into a wider town visit when you've got the dog in tow.
