Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Plumpton Rocks is a paid landscaped garden destination near Harrogate, where 30 acres of dramatic rock formations, lakes and woodland have been drawing visitors since the 18th century. It's a compact but proper day out rather than a simple walk and dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor grounds on lead. The site is open weekends and bank holidays from Easter to early October, with extended Friday and Monday opening during the six-week summer school holidays.
Entry is £5 per person, children under 16 go free and parking on site is free. The terrain is uneven and steep in places, so keep a firm grip on the lead and watch your footing on the paths.
There's no indoor access evidenced for dogs, but the rock scenery and lakeside routes make this a distinctive outdoor destination when you want more structure than a park and less commitment than a full countryside hike. It's the kind of place where the dog gets their sniff time and you get proper scenery without driving for hours.
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor grounds but must stay on lead at all times. The terrain is uneven and steep in places, so keep a firm hold.
