Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Saltburn Cliff Tramway is a historic funicular railway linking Saltburn seafront with the town above and dogs travel free on the passenger carriages. The short journey offers a practical (and entertaining) way to dodge the cliff steps with your lead-holding companion in tow and sits naturally alongside a visit to the pier and the wider Saltburn-by-the-Sea visitor zone.
Dogs are welcome on board and should be kept on a lead for safety during the ride. The tramway runs a weekend service during peak season, typically from mid-March to the end of October, though it's worth noting that maintenance closures do happen.
There's no dedicated car park for the tramway itself; access is from the lower promenade and seafront area, with Saltburn Station nearby. It's a compact, dog-friendly attraction that fits neatly into a seaside day out when you'd rather not haul yourself (and the dog) up the cliff path on foot.
