The Ship in Dock Inn is a welcoming riverside pub in the heart of Dartmouth, right in the thick of the town centre and just a stone's throw from the waterfront. Dogs are welcome inside in the bar area, so you can settle in together for a drink without the usual juggling act.

Open every day of the year, it's a handy all-day option whether you're exploring the town, walking the river or waiting for the Kingswear ferry. The bar has a warm, well-kept feel and the central location makes it easy to drop in on foot from Coronation Park or the town car parks.

Dogs aren't permitted in the Eatery or guest rooms, but the bar is genuinely dog-friendly and there's no need to leave them tied up outside. It's the kind of place that fits neatly into a Dartmouth dog day without any fuss.
