Days Out Are For Dogs Too

St Davids Bishop's Palace is a spectacular medieval ruin managed by Cadw in the heart of Britain's smallest city. The palace stands just steps from St Davids Cathedral, making the two a brilliant pairing for a heritage-rich day out with your dog. Admission is ticketed and the visitor centre leads directly into the monument's ground-floor areas.
Dogs on short leads are welcome throughout the ground floor of the palace, including the courtyard and vaulted spaces. Upper levels are off-limits to non-assistance dogs, but the scale and drama of the ruin reward exploration at ground level. A dog bowl is provided and the short-lead policy keeps things calm among the stonework.
Limited parking is available outside the palace, with a pay-and-display car park about 300 metres away. The site pairs naturally with the cathedral grounds nearby, where dogs are also welcome on leads. It's a proper Welsh heritage outing and your dog gets to walk the same medieval floors as bishops once did.
