The Steam Packet Inn is a riverside pub in Kingswear, just across the Dart from Dartmouth and a quick ferry hop for visitors exploring the area. Dogs are welcome inside in the bar area, which makes it a brilliant refuelling stop when you're out with your four-footer and want to stay together.

The pub serves food and drink in a proper local setting with river views and it's well placed for dog walkers who've crossed from Dartmouth or are exploring Kingswear's waterside paths. It's the kind of place that works when you need a pint and your dog needs a sit-down after a sniff-heavy morning.

Parking in Kingswear village is limited, so most visitors arrive by the Lower Ferry from Dartmouth. That ferry crossing is part of the charm and your dog will likely approve of the extra adventure.
