The Bears Trading Company is a dog-friendly café and gift shop in Tankerton, just a short stroll from Whitstable's seafront. Dogs are welcome inside, so the whole group can settle in for coffee, cake and a browse while your four-footer supervises from under the table.

The café serves freshly made coffee and homemade cakes alongside a selection of light lunches, with indoor seating where well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. It's also a browsable gift shop, stocked with homeware, cards and locally sourced treats, making it a handy stop before or after a beach walk.

The Bears Trading Company opens Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 10am to 3pm, closed Monday and Tuesday. It's a relaxed, low-key spot in Tankerton where dogs and their humans can refuel without fuss.
