The Bridge Inn is one of those slightly tucked-away pubs that locals quietly keep to themselves, known for its friendly feel, strong cider lineup and a beer garden that really earns its reputation. Sitting just outside Bristol in Mangotsfield, it’s perfectly placed as a start or finish point for country walks and bike rides, with that satisfying “we’ve earned this” pint waiting at the end.
There’s a proper community feel running through it, with live music, quiz nights and regular events keeping things lively across the week. The large, secluded garden is a standout, giving you space to settle in the sun with a West Country cider in hand while everything slows down a bit. Dogs pad in alongside you, just as welcome as their humans, and quickly become part of the relaxed, local rhythm.
