The Bruce Arms is a coaching inn on the edge of West Tanfield, serving modern dining pub food alongside a traditional bar. Dogs are welcome inside throughout, so you can settle in by the fire with your lot while the table supervisor stays firmly on duty. The kitchen runs Thursday to Sunday, with lunch and dinner Thursday to Saturday and an extended Sunday lunch service until half four.
The pub opens from 10am Thursday to Sunday and from 3pm Tuesday and Wednesday, closed Mondays. It's a useful stop if you're exploring the River Ure or passing through the Ripon area.
You'll find a proper bar and dining room where dogs can stay with you while you eat. The pub bills itself as family and dog-friendly and recent visitors report a warm atmosphere and easy visits with dogs in tow.
