The Castle Tavern is a traditional Inverness pub just footsteps from the castle, where dogs are welcome inside the bar area. Lunches are served in the same space, so the whole group can settle in for a proper meal together.

The kitchen runs daily from noon until half eight in the evening, making this a reliable refuelling stop during a day of castle-side sightseeing. The pub opens at midday seven days a week, closing at 11pm Sunday through Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday.

Biscuits and fresh water are mentioned on the pub's own site, so your dog's likely to be greeted as warmly as you are. The location puts you right in the heart of Inverness's most-visited quarter, making it an easy pause between the castle, the riverbank and the rest of the old town.
