The Cherub Inn is a small, cosy and highly characterful historic pub in central Dartmouth and dogs are welcome inside. Tucked into the heart of the old town, it's the sort of place where low beams, ancient timbers and a proper pub atmosphere make you feel like you've stepped back a few centuries—lead tangles and all.

The pub serves a full drinks menu and pub food and the dog-friendly policy means your four-legged companion can settle at your feet while you take a breather from exploring Higher Street and the surrounding lanes. It's perfectly placed for a wander through Dartmouth's historic centre, with plenty of dog-friendly streets and waterfront nosing distance away.

There's no dedicated parking, so you'll need to use nearby town parking. The Cherub's compact size adds to its charm, though it does mean space can be snug when busy—worth keeping in mind if your dog needs a bit of elbow room.
