The Sundial Kitchen is a vegetarian-led café in Bristol built around seasonal, thoughtfully sourced food, with a focus on local and organic produce wherever possible. It brings a slightly more restaurant-quality feel into a relaxed café setting, and dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone orders.
Breakfasts and lunches are made with care, and everything from cakes to pastries is baked in-house. Good coffee, local beers and wine are in the mix too. Alongside the food, there's a strong community thread running through it, with space given over to artists, musicians, comedy and even yoga, giving it that feeling of being more than just somewhere to eat.
It's an easy place to settle in, whether you're popping by briefly or staying for something a little longer. Dogs pad in alongside you, becoming part of the calm, creative flow, which makes it a useful wet-weather stop when plans need to stay simple.
