The Village Inn is a welcoming pub in Thurlestone, just a short drive from Salcombe, where dogs are welcome inside by the fire. Part of the Thurlestone Hotel, it offers a relaxed spot for lunch or dinner with the whole group, including those keeping watch under the table.

Food is served daily, with lunch and evening service across the week and slightly earlier Sunday roasts. The menu runs from pub classics to something a bit smarter and the fire makes it an especially good retreat after a windswept coastal walk or a sandy morning on one of the nearby beaches.

It's a useful pitstop if you're exploring the South Devon coast with your dog. The pub sits close to Thurlestone and the surrounding area is known for its dog-walking beaches and clifftop paths, so you can plan a proper day out and still finish it somewhere warm, dog-friendly and serving dinner.
