That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The White Hart is a coaching inn and pub in Menheniot, a few miles inland from Looe, where dogs are welcome inside. It's a practical village stop for anyone heading in or out of the coast, particularly when you'd rather keep the whole group together than leave muddy paws waiting in the car.

The pub serves drinks in a traditional coaching-inn setting with slate floors and beamed ceilings. Full English breakfasts are cooked each morning for guests staying over, and lighter options are available too. There's a large car park adjoining the property, which makes arrival straightforward when you've got leads, bags and the usual tangle of dog-day kit to manage.

Menheniot sits just off the A38, so it's a useful fallback if the seafront gets too busy or you're looking for somewhere inland to break the journey. Dogs are settled company in the bar and it's the sort of place where a practical pub stop slots neatly into a longer day out.

Dog Policy:
