Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Thetford Warren Lodge is a small medieval flint building tucked down a dirt track near Thetford, managed by English Heritage as a free-to-visit historic landmark. The interior is not open to the public, but the exterior can be viewed any reasonable time during daylight hours and dogs on leads are welcome on the access track and around the outside of the lodge.
There's a small free car park on the access track, though the surface can be rough. The visit is a short one – this is exterior viewing rather than an interactive attraction – but it's a genuine heritage curiosity and a useful add-on if you're building a dog day out near Thetford.
Because there's no interior access and no facilities, it's all about the outdoor setting and a quick history fix. Lead-only access keeps things straightforward and the lack of crowds means you can take your time circling the building without tangled-lead logistics.

Dogs on leads are welcome for exterior viewing around the lodge and on the access track. The interior is not open to visitors.
