Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant is a National Trust historic farmhouse and garden set in the beautiful Cwm Wybrnant valley near Penmachno, just outside Betws-y-Coed. Dogs on leads are welcome around the grounds, small garden, picnic areas and stream and well-behaved dogs on a lead can join you on the ground floor of the farmhouse when it's open seasonally. It's a peaceful spot with heritage interest and valley walks, making it a proper half-day destination from Conwy.

The grounds and countryside are open dawn to dusk all year, while the farmhouse and library have seasonal opening hours. There's a main car park about 500 yards from the farmhouse, with limited accessible parking closer to the entrance. Livestock graze nearby, so leads are required throughout.

There are no waste bins on site, so you'll need to take dog waste home. It's the kind of place where you can wander the valley paths, enjoy a quiet picnic by the stream and explore a slice of Welsh literary history without leaving your dog behind.
