Uile-bheist Distillery & Brewery is a working brewery and taproom in Inverness, just a short walk from the city centre along the River Ness. Dogs are welcome inside the taproom, so you can settle in with your pint or dram and keep the lead tucked neatly under the table while you sample the house spirits and beers.

Food is served in the dog-friendly taproom, which means you can graze through a proper meal with your table supervisor still on duty. The venue sits in a central, visitor-friendly spot that makes it easy to fold into a day's exploring without retracing your steps.

It's the sort of place that works when you want a breather between walks, a cosy indoor stop when the weather turns or simply a chance to sit down together without splitting the group. The River Ness paths are close by for a pre- or post-visit sniff and the central location keeps things straightforward if you're moving around Inverness on foot.
