The White Hart Hotel is a central, lively pub with rooms in Kendal, tucked through one of the town’s little yards, so it already feels like a tiny adventure before you’ve even ordered. Dogs are welcome inside, which means nobody needs to do the pavement shuffle while you decide whether this is a quick pint or a full evening.

Inside, it’s social and buzzy, with a broad drinks range and that “this could turn into a late one” energy, especially when sport or weekend entertainment is on. Food is served too, so it works for a proper meal, a quick drink or a full evening of “shall we stay for one more?” negotiations, with your dog able to settle beside you while you take in the atmosphere.

Dogs can enjoy a selection of Mr Woofchester treats, available to purchase from the bar, while water bowls are provided in the beer garden. With its central Kendal location, The White Hart is a handy indoor stop for dogs and their humans whether you’re pausing for lunch or settling in for the evening.
