Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Whitesyke Garden Centre sits on the north side of Carlisle in Longtown, offering a substantial day-out stop for border-corridor visitors. You'll find plants, gifts, outdoor living, a toy shop and the Lemon Tree Coffee Shop all under one roof and dogs are welcome inside throughout the centre and in the café's dog-friendly indoor and outdoor spaces.
The garden-centre aisles give you room to browse with a damp Spaniel in tow and the coffee shop means both of you can settle in for a proper break without splitting up. It's the sort of place where the lead stays looped around your wrist while you consider spring bedding or birthday presents and nobody minds wet paws by the door.
Whitesyke makes a strong journey stop if you're heading north toward the Scottish border or using the A7 and A6071 corridor. The mix of retail, refreshment and dog-friendly welcome adds useful dwell time to what might otherwise be a straight drive through.
