Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Whitlingham Country Park is a 180-acre country park on the eastern edge of Norwich, wrapped around the Great Broad and threaded with woodland, meadow and waterside trails. Dogs are welcome across the park grounds, with lead requirements in the Conservation Area, Trowse Water Meadow and around marked zones near the Great Broad. The park is open 24 hours and five pay-and-display car parks are dotted across the site—one ticket covers them all.
The trails suit everything from short strolls to longer circuits and the mix of open meadow and tree cover means shade in summer and decent all-weather variety. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome inside the Flint Barn Café, except the mezzanine level, so you can both stop for a drink or bite without the car-park sandwich shuffle.
Flint Barn Café opens daily from 9am to 5pm between April and October and 9am to 4pm from November to March. The café patio is also dog-friendly on leads and with broad water views and plenty of space to roam, Whitlingham makes a proper day out for Norwich-based dog owners.
