Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial is a substantial aviation museum on the outskirts of York, where dogs on leads are welcome across most of the site, including the exhibition rooms. This is one of the few museums in the region that lets your dog join you through the indoor galleries, making it a genuinely dog-inclusive day out among historic aircraft and wartime collections. The museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm.
Dogs must stay on leads throughout and aren't permitted in the café, Astra Cinema or shop, though assistance dogs are welcome everywhere. There's a free car park on site with accessible spaces.
It's the kind of visit that works when you want to keep the dog with you rather than leaving them in the car. Exhibition rooms are welcoming enough for lead navigation and outdoor areas offer sniff breaks between hangars.
