Situated in the East Sussex coastal village of Pevensey Bay (just to the east of Eastbourne), this 16th Century building has been tastefully renovated, though with its low ceilings and oak beams it retains its 'old world' pub charm. Castle Inn Pub, Pevensey Bay - pub garden The pub has a large suntrap garden which is enjoyed by many during sunny weather, and is great for families, with room for children to play. Current mine hosts Daina and Paul Martin took over the business in September 2017. Already regular customers, they liked the pub so much that - in the manner of a famous 1970s T.V. commercial - they bought the company! Offering a varied selection of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, along with a menu of delicious homemade food utilising local produce wherever possible, plus weekend entertainment, The Castle Inn is a pub that has something to offer everyone, both local and visitor alike. Please note that unfortunately, due to the nature of our Grade II listed building, we are unable to offer dedicated wheelchair access or disabled facilities. Visiting with your dog - Due to our pub rabbit, Neill, who lives upstairs, we don't have our own pub dog yet! So we, and the whole Drovers team, love meeting your four-legged friends and we'll make sure they're very welcome in the pub! Dogs are welcome in the Bar area and the Beer Garden. There's water bowls provided in both areas, along with Poop Bags for outside which we'd appreciate you using. We have a few requests for your Canine companions when they're here so that everyone enjoys their time at the Drovers. - We ask that dogs are kept on a short lead at all times to avoid any accidents, both inside and in the beer garden, - We ask that dogs are kept off the furniture unless there's a blanket down first. (Ask a member of staff for one or grab one from the blanket box). If your dog is wet, damp or muddy please ask for a towel and keep them on the floor at all times. - Please keep paws and snouts off the table tops and the bar front. You are more than welcome to have your dog sit with you during your evening. All you need to do is let us know when you book that you'd like them to sit with you and we can arrange a table in the bar. Please let us know as soon as possible prior to arrival, so we can make the necessary arrangements. We'd hate for them to have to stay in the car if we don't have a suitable table. FURBALL FRIDAYS We love any excuse to meet new and regular furry friends, and so we created Furball Friday to do just that! Each Friday from 5pm is our celebration of all things canine! We welcome all doggies and have extra treats such as Puppaccinos and Doggy Beer and exclusive merch available, including Bandannas, Doggy Merit Badges!
